Lesson Subject: “TRUST GOD ANYWAY”

Lesson Scripture: Philippians 4:4-7, (NLT)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

1. Trust is NOT an EMOTION.~John 14:1, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Ye believe in God believe also in me.” ~Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;”
2. Remember: God LOVES You~Ephesians 3:17-18, “I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.18 And may you have the power to understand as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love really is.” ~Philippians 4: 6, “….do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
3. HOLD ON to What Will Last~Psalm 20: 7, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” ~Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Lesson Subject: HOW TO STAY STRONG

Lesson Scripture: Joshua 1:7-9 (NLT),

7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.

8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

9. This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!“

1. BE STRONG AND VERY COURAGEOUS v. 7

~Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee, He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

2. OBEY GOD’S COMMANDS v. 7

~1 John 5: 3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

3. STUDY GOD’S WORD v. 8

~2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word truth.”

~2 Timothy 3:16, “Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.”

Bible Study Lesson for April 8, 2020
Lesson Subject: “Choosing Wisely”
Lesson Scripture: Deuteronomy 30: 15, 16, 19.
Deuteronomy 30:15, “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 16 In that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.”
19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” We make all types of choices throughout our lives.  These choices are sometimes simple, while there are others more complicated.
But in our lesson’s scripture, we are commanded that in order to choose wisely we must:*Love The Lord~Deuteronomy 6:5, “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
~Matthew 6:24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

*Walk In His Way
~Zechariah 3:7, “ Thus saith the Lord of host,; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and thou wilt keep my charge then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts and I will give places to walk among these that stand by.”~Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old;
yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

*Keep His Commandments, His Statues, and His Judgements    ~Psalm 78:7, “That they should put their confidence in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.”
~Deuteronomy 6:1, “These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has instructedme to teach youto follow in the land you are about to enter and possess,   2 So that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged.”
