About Us
The General Assembly Ewing Street Church of the Living God, Pillar and Ground of the Truth located at 1112 S. Ewing Ave. Dallas, Texas 75216, is the Headquarters for our an incorporated brotherhood made up of 36 churches. We are proud to have our Pastor Bishop C.C. Berry, Jr. leading the way for over 40 years as the Presiding Bishop of the Organization. Our sister churches are located in the states of Texas, California, and Louisiana. These Churches are divided into 5 districts and our local Church is positioned in District 4.
We have 3 Dynamic services on Sunday starting with our 8:00am Morning Worship, 9:30am Sunday school classes and our 11:00am Worship Service. Our Bible Study (Refill Night) is held every Wednesday evening starting at 7:30pm. We currently serve food to all in attendance at the end of Refill night as part of our Outreach program. There are plenty of activities during the week with Choir practices, Praise and Drill team activities for the youth and a host of other ministry services being performed by our Pastor, Ministerial staff and Lay Persons.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Bible Verse: 1 TIMOTHY. 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou myself know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the Church of the Living God, The Pillar and Ground of the Truth.
Baptism: We baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We believe in submerging candidates in the water.
Communion: We believe in taking Bread (Representing Christ’s Body, which was broken for us) and Water (Representing the Blood that was shedded for us). The Water refers to what came from His body when they pierced Christ in the side on the Cross. We have our Communion every 1st and 3rd Sunday.
CHURCH CREED
We believe in God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We believe that Christ is the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, preached three years, sentenced by Pontius Pilate without condemnation, was crucified on Calvary, and that He arose from the dead the third day, triumphing over death and hell. He was seen of the eleven disciples and then by more than five hundred; and that He ascended into Heaven and now sitteth on the right hand of God, and that He will descend again at the last day to judge the world. We believe in keeping the whole law, that we may preserve our bodies wholly and acceptable unto the Lord. We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Grounds of the Truth. I believe in attending my Church and holding her above my highest joy. Keep me steadfast in the faith, so mote it be… Amen.

Under the visionary leadership of Pastor Emeritus Bishop C.C. Berry Jr., Ewing Street – Church of the Living God P.G.T. has faithfully served the Dallas community for over 60 years, offering spiritual guidance, outreach, and a strong foundation rooted in the love of Christ.
Bishop Berry was named one of the honorees of the 1993 Dallas’ Black Living Legends for his services towards his church, community and fellow mankind. He is noted for being a strong man of God, a visionary leader and for reminding those he comes across to Always Keep God First!
Our Mission
We are committed to uniting all generations as one family in faith. Our vision is to invite others into a shared journey with Christ, growing together in God’s ministry through faith, love, and the support of our community. We seek to serve our neighborhood through compassionate outreach, empower our youth through guided missions and mentorship, support young adults in maturing their walk with God, and honor our elders by aligning with the works of Christ and equipping them to guide future generations in ministry. Together, we strive to be a reflection of God’s love—connected, growing, and serving as one body in Christ.
